Catch It Game
Song – End of Beginning – We work with the mentioned song (you can see the worksheet clicking in the link).
Barnyard Animals (to group students) – To play “barnyard animals,” the teacher gives each student a slip of paper with ananimal on it. Students should keep which animal they are given a secret. When ready to play, the teacher tells students to start making the same sound as the animal on their paper. Students should then try to find classmates with the same animal as them. The group who has found all of its partners first wins.
Questions Matching Game – In groups. Each group will receive a set of cards with questions and answers. Students will have a certain amount of time to match each pair. When time finished, the group with more correct pairs will be the winner.
Board Race Game – The teacher will write on the board two words (one for each team), one member from each team will run/go to the board and write a word beginning with the last letter of the previous word and so on. When the time finishes the group with more words is the winner.
